About the Artist:
I have been passionate about photography and art design for over 50 years. This was a time when photography was a science that demanded an in-depth understanding of the relationship between all fundamentals of great art and photography that are required to produce outstanding work.
Trained in traditional portrait photography, the understanding the elements which include lighting, composition, exposure and color balance have all blended into the same concept of all photography.
Earning a Master of Photography Degree from the Professional Photographers of America in 1990, I continued photographing hundreds of weddings, high school seniors, families and events. As time phased out my professional studio, a conversion to artistic landscape style of medium was born. Long before this conversion started, I had developed the Americana Style. This was the capturing of beautiful ageless American Photographs represent time passed. As you can see from the galleries this is a strong and powerful addition.
With the aid of travel in my occupation I was afforded the opportunity to see the back roads, the seldom viewed areas of America. Because of this, the collection contains diversified enjoyable images. Although the content may vary, one important factor to remember, the style and quality are unique. The artistic value of photography will always be a romance between the components of images captured and presentation of the final image.
Today, we have embraced the digital world and its methods. Even though technology has changed the scope and some applications of how we capture images, the fundamentals and commitment to challenges that inspire people who love this art medium remains paramount.
