Georgia Central Roundhouse

In Savannah, Georgia, a museum operates in the old historic Central of Georgia Railroad  Roundhouse. The Georgia State Railroad Museum is located at a landmark Central of Georgia Railway site in Savannah, Georgia. It includes parts of the Central of Georgia Railway: Savannah Shops and Terminal Facilities National Historic Landmark District. The historic railroad structures at the Georgia State Railroad Museum site include a partial roundhouse with an operating turntable, a partial Machine Shop, a Tender Frame Shop, a Blacksmith Shop, a Boiler House, a Storehouse and Print Shop, Lumber and Planning Sheds, a Coach and Paint Shops, and a partial Carpentry Shop.
